Old Savannah High Building

Savannah High School, located in Savannah, Georgia, has a long and rich history that dates back to its founding in 1901. Originally established as the city's first public high school, it has undergone numerous transformations over the years. The school was initially housed in downtown Savannah but moved to its current location on Pennsylvania Avenue in 1998. Known for its beautiful campus and diverse student body, Savannah High has played a significant role in the community's educational landscape. In 2008, the school rebranded as The School of Liberal Studies, with a focus on preparing students for higher education and diverse career paths through a curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking, humanities, and the arts. The school remains a central institution in Savannah, known for fostering academic achievement and civic responsibility.
